Since the 1991, move to the Cultural Arts Center, the expanded facility has allowed the Museum to bring to the community national caliber exhibitions such as Ansel Adams, Icons of the Twentieth Century: Portraits by Yousuf Karsh, The Spirit of Africa, Audubon in Florida, and Audubon Treasures, It's a Dog's Life: Photographs by William Wegman from the Polaroid Corporation, also showcasing work of established and emerging Florida artists. Submission guidelines for artists interested in exhibiting at DMA:

1. Include 10 professional quality slides or 10 images on disc.

2. Current resume.

3. Publicity tear sheets, invitations or catalogues from previous exhibits.

4. Brief description of show concept or theme.

5. Include a prepaid mailer for return of materials. Materials will not be returned without this.

The Museum of Florida Art is primarily dedicated to exhibiting Florida artists or work about the state.

We encourage all exhibiting artists to give a gallery talk or workshop/demonstration during the time of exhibition.

An exhibition committee made up of artists and art professionals will review all applications that follow the above guidelines. The committee meets twice annually.

The Museum of Florida Art works about 2-3 years into the future.

Applicants must be prepared to have their materials be with DMA for an extended time.
